Top 10 wedding themes for 2019

4th January 2019

If you’re planning a wedding, you’ll know you need to think ahead.

With a wedding, there’s no need to have a theme but it can help with organising and making everything fit together seamlessly.

Here are our expectations for 10 wedding themes for 2019.

  1. Shades of pink and gold - this colour theme looks soft, romantic and classy. The colours look great whatever the season and your bridesmaids will love you for it.

  2. We adore the Mint colour scheme for 2019 - it’s soft, pretty and adds a fresh look to any wedding.

  3. Who would have thought there’s a trend in fonts for weddings? Well there is and 2019 is all about using a vintage typewriter font for your invitations.

  4. Of course, 2019 is expected to see the Meghan effect and brides with elegant, simple wedding dresses at receptions with a Royal feel - think understated glamour.

  5. If you really want to be a princess, then your wedding is the perfect day to achieve that dream. Disney is a huge theme right now with everything from Frozen to Cinderella and Ariel. We’ve even see Beauty and the Beast, which is a bit harsh on the groom perhaps.

  6. Gatsby, aka 1920s glamour, will also be a huge theme for 2019. We love the pearls, sequins and feathers. This theme has such a glamorous, glitzy vibe and any bride choosing a 1920s wedding dress cannot go wrong. And who doesn’t love a jazz band?

  7. Grey is taking over the wedding world in all its shades from dark to a lighter, brighter grey. Bridesmaids dresses look beautiful in a pale grey while the groom will stand out in charcoal.

  8. Weddings with a botanical theme will be very popular in 2019 too. We love all the beautiful, fresh greenery, especially for a Spring wedding.

  9. Rustic weddings will still be very popular with fairy lights, mason jars, twine and lace in a rustic, rural venue. Our farm wedding venue is the ideal location for this theme.

  10. Incorporating travel into a wedding is expected to be a top theme for 2019 with couples incorporating where they are from, where they have visited and paying tribute to their international guests. Use luggage tags as place settings and postcards for guests to write their message.
