About Us
Husband and wife team Ed and Hannah Hall would like to welcome you to The Wroxeter Hotel; our three star, family run, country house hotel in the heart of rural Shropshire. We are proud of our beautiful tranquil location, steeped in history, romance and interest. We are also proud of our fine Georgian building, with its newly added accommodation wing and airy conservatories. But the one thing which will ensure you have an enjoyable and memorable visit is the care and attention you will receive from our friendly and efficient staff.

Meet The Team

Our team is ably led by Hannah who combines experience as a parliamentary aide, TV presenter and marketer with general management excellence. She also manages to juggle care of Jasper our youngest team member at just 20 months old!
Hannah is assisted by husband, Ed, who served in the British Army for 20 years, retiring as a Major and subsequently working as a human resources specialist. Ed enjoys running, walking, cycling and canoeing, and has a keen interest in local history and geography, so if you want guidance on enjoying the local area he will be happy to advise.
Robert Hall, Ed’s elder brother, brings an international flavour to the team. Based in Holland with the Philips Corporation, Robert is a keen sportsman and supporter of Shrewsbury Town FC.
Manager Margot Foster is the chocolate smooth voice of The Wroxeter Hotel and the “glue” of the organisation. Her immense experience in the hospitality industry and her devotion to efficiency and customer service are a beacon to us all. Sadly Margot cannot always be here, as her daughter Teah and husband Adrian deserve at least some of her time – but we all try to maintain her standards!
Our kitchen brigade is led by Tony Goodfellow and Paul Marshall. Tony has managed the kitchen at the Wroxeter Hotel for more than 21 years and specialises in banqueting and traditionally cooked roast meats. Paul joined the team in 2008 and is developing a county wide reputation for contemporary British food and themed restaurant evenings, all made from the finest locally sourced ingredients.
Good housekeepers are like “hens teeth”, but we have one of the finest in Pauline Chadwick. Pauline’s eye for detail and aversion to dust keep our rooms spotless.
During your visit you may also meet with Becky Jones, Dave Marsh, Debbie Reacord, Emma Compton-Davis, Emma Hartley, Emily Lister, Elliott Bessant, Joey Webb, John Gregory, Kayleigh Davies, Lee Habberley, Louise Brown, Michael Smout, Petra Majkova, Rachael Record, Serena Wray, Tracy Ford and Vanessa Rowe - all here to make sure you have the most enjoyable visit and return often.
